Enviropeel - Overview

The Enviropeel System is a world first, allowing protection to be applied on site and to objects of any shape or size. Its corrosion-inhibiting properties and ease of application open up new possibilities for protection in many industries, especially where galvanic corrosion affects bolted systems, such as flanges and valves. The system also prevents the ingress of dust and other contaminants into rotating systems such as bearings and prevents the deterioration of stored components and equipment. Applications in Australia over the last three years have shown equipment lifetime estimates to have increased by 500% using Enviropeel.

Enviropeel is completely reusable, non-toxic and contains no VOCs. When inspection or replacement is required, Enviropeel can quickly be cut and peeled away to reveal the protected surface below.

Colors
Supplied as standard in Grey. Most colors available to order, a minimum quantity may apply.

Properties
Sprayable thermoplastic containing inhibitors for active corrosion protection. Protects against galvanic, pitting and atmospheric corrosion. Prevents dust/contaminant and water ingress, isolates vulnerable components from corrosive environments.

Application Areas
Stored components and equipment, conveyor bearings, bolted systems and structures of all kinds including valves and flanges, offshore and onshore installations, transit and corrosion protection for parts and machinery.

The Enviropeel System is a unique sprayable thermoplastic barrier coating system, comprising the Enviropeel material and a specially-designed micro-processor controlled application unit. In addition to the standard unit, a ‘Zone 2’ variant is available for use in hazardous areas and a portable ‘Slugger 170’ unit has been introduced for repairs and small applications.

A solid at normal temperatures, the Enviropeel material is melted in a computer-controlled heating and pumping tank to form a sprayable liquid. Pumped along specially designed, heated hoses to the spray gun, the material can be sprayed on to the substrate, forming a perfectly fitting ‘second skin’. Inhibitors within the Enviropeel coat all surfaces inside the protected area, penetrating between surfaces and along bolt threads. Corrosion inhibitors continue to be released, providing continuous active protection for the lifetime of the system, sealed within the protective cocoon of the Enviropeel material.
